School is out and hot summer days are fast approaching. Congratulations to our recent grads,
Juan and
Kim. Great job, you made it through high school. Time for building sand castles on the beach and enjoying some well deserved vacation time. Before you all get started, please take note of some changes in the Youth Group schedule. If you didn't see it in the bulletin on June 1st, our Wednesday night Youth Group is taking the month of June off. We will be returning July 9th. We've encouraged the youth to use this time for studying on their own and pray for their
Youth Group and leaders. We also want to encourage all parents, to take advantage of this time with your youth. Summer can be real crazy, especially for you Moms. But hang in there, we truly believe that the Lord has some awesome things to accomplish this summer with the youth at
Calvary Chapel Lafayette, (including parents!).
Weekly Schedule:
- Sundays in June - Book of Hebrews
- Wednesdays in June - (taking month off)
- Sundays in July - Book of Genesis
- Wednesdays in July - Book of John (starting July 9th)
Event Schedule:
- June 14th - Youth Night - (meet @ church) Going to Farrell's house. 6:00pm-10:00pm
- June 28th - Annual Calvary Chapel Canoe Trip- (not a youth event) see Bob for details
- July 26th. Youth Night - @ church 6:00pm-10:00pm
- August 2nd- The long awaited .Scavenger Hunt. more details coming soon!
Thanks again for all the help and support for our past events. Keep us in your prayers in the month of June as we seek the Lord in all that we are planning for the youth group here at Calvary Chapel.
